The Dahlia is the national flower of Mexico. They come one bushy head per stem. Beautiful as they are, their life span as a cut flower can be somewhat fickle. Today they are also a very popular garden flower. Cousin to the sunflower and chrysanthemum, dahlias come in a variety of colors from rich oranges and purples to white, yellow and pink with numerous hybrids. They are available late summer to fall.
